How can I make an appointment?
Making an appointment is easy. We are available by phone at (214) 703-5490. We have varied hours so that you can find an appointment time that will work for you.
If you are in a hurry, you can fill out our paperwork prior to your appointment. This will save you time and allow you to be seen in a timely fashion.
What happens at the first appointment?
If you haven’t had a chance to fill out your paperwork, you will be required to fill it out when you come in. After that is done, we will discuss your dental and medical history as well as any problems that you may be having now.
We start with X-rays and a thorough cleaning. After that, our dentist will perform an examination to make sure that you aren’t having any problems. If something has been bothering you, we will be able to discuss your options and come up with a treatment plan.
You should use this time to ask any questions. We want you to be comfortable at your visit, so we are here to alleviate any of your concerns.
Can I use my insurance?
We know how expensive dental care is, so to make your care more affordable, we do accept most insurances. You can always call prior to your appointment to make sure. We will also discuss what your insurance should pay and what you are expected to pay.
How much is my visit going to cost?
After performing your examination and X-rays, we will go over your options. During this time, we will be able to discuss your costs (even the long-term costs). At that time, we should also be able to estimate how much your insurance will pay so that you know what to expect.
Since I need to go to an orthodontist, will my regular dentist make the appointment?
Though your regular dentist will need to make a referral, you will need to call to make an appointment that works for you.
Do I still need to see my regular dentist while I am undergoing orthodontic treatment and wearing braces?
To maintain good oral health, it is still important to visit your regular dentist. It may be even more important when wearing braces because you may have trouble brushing your teeth with your braces.
Do I still need to brush my teeth while wearing braces? If so, how often?
It is still really important to continue to brush your teeth while you are wearing braces. It may actually be even more important because food and bacteria can easily hide in your braces.
For this reason, we recommend brushing your teeth after every meal and before you go to bed. Flossing is still important too. We will show you the best way to do that with braces.
